People Against INcineration
Say NO to the Sherwood Forest
Incinerator...
What would happen if someone
were to say the following things to you about the future of
living in RAINWORTH, including the surrounding
villages and towns for up to a twenty five mile radius. This
could impact for 26 years plus. (See
Map)
- You and your whole family's health was at risk.
- Your house that you owned would lose value.
- The house that you lived in was likely to be
contaminated by heavy metals.
-
The food that you eat could be
contaminated with Dioxin.
-
Sherwood Forest would be
contaminated and trees die.
-
Rare and special Wild life could be
made extinct.
- Water courses would be
infected by leaching heavy metals
from waste ash which could effect sport fishing &
drinking water.
- A company and your county council
were going to exploit you
and
your community to make cash, with prearranged agreements with cash penalty clauses for any
defaults in the program.
